The device for the scanning of the front edges of a sheet (B) for aligning in a sheet feed system of a press has front marks (1) installed on a feed table and provided with sensors (3) which are movable in relation to the front marks inside guides (7) orientated in the direction of movement (T) of the sheets. Each sensor is movable by means of a holder (3a) which has an adjustment drive (4) for its positioning in relation to the guide or associated front mark.
