Girder (1) comprises a first board (10) made from solid wood extending in the longitudinal direction (2) of the girder and a further board (40) made from solid wood arranged parallel to and at a distance from the first board and board pieces (20) arranged between the first board and the further board and glued on their inner surfaces. An independent claim is also included for a stock lumber wall containing a number of the above girders. Preferred Features: The board pieces consist of several wood layers glued together and aligned orthogonal to the wood fiber direction. The girder comprises a first board, a second board and board pieces glued to both boards. The girder has a length of 6-12 m.
