Spiro-cyclohexyl-pyridine compound (I) and its salts, and solvates, is new. Spiro-cyclohexyl-pyridine compound of formula (I) and its salts, and solvates, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a medicine (A) comprising (I) in combination with an inert and non-toxic auxiliary material; and (2) the preparation of (I). MECHANISM OF ACTION : Cholesterol ester transfer protein inhibitor. The ability of (I) to inhibit cholesterol ester transfer protein was tested using biological assays. (I) Exhibited a median inhibitory concentration value of 32 nM.
