The washing device has a washing roller (12) which comprises a washing bar (11) and both can be placed and suppressed in the cylinder, which is to be cleaned. The employed position of washing roller in cylinder is adjustable during the traverse movement. Traverse movement takes place in the direction of axis of rotation (16) of the washing roller. An independent claim is also included for printing unit.
