The haulage crossing area is supported during mining by a support part (14) coupled to a conveyor (13) with individual props (21) which carry rails (22) running in the direction of haulage. After the support part has been dug out and moved up in the direction of mining, support rails are laid down between the last row of props and the conveyor. Lastly, the support part is set down, after which during ongoing mining the rails are propped up by the support during the setting down of props.
