Surface-resolved determination of Raman scattering (7) and spectral separation comprising uses an objective (5) to produce a point-resolved image of Raman scattering from a specimen (1), which is fed to an interferometer which converts it to an interferogram while maintaining the point resolution, after which it passes to a focal plane array detector (12), is new.
