The machine tool produces dovetail joints in wooden boards, using finger-type milling tool, which in a first working process produce the necessary recesses, leaving rounding on the component, which is then removed, using a second milling tool of very small diameter. The milling tools may be fixed at opposite ends in a tool receiver.
