The geo grid has longitudinal strips (10-14) made of thermoplastic resin e.g. polyethylene, where each strip has an eigen temperature of more than 136 degree Celsius. Each strip is alternately welded with the adjacent strips initially rightward and then leftward at corresponding contact points to form cells with square layout between the adjacent strips. The strips are bent at an angle of 90 degrees in the region of contact points. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a geo grid.
