The device has a fluid level sensor (8) including a float which moves vertically and linearly on a reference switch, which is held by a supporting device (7) including a rocking suspension. The switch exhibits an oscillatory movement by the device and is fixed in the fuel tank such that the switch is adjusted to be placed in a vertical position due to the lifting force of the float despite of the inclination of the fuel tank.
