The method for disposing of a mixture of urine and dung from pig rearing comprises separating off the urine in the stall and treating it outside it. The dung is dried and fed to a gasification boiler fitted with a heat exchanger which recovers waste heat. A hot air motor is mounted between the mouth of the boiler flue and the heat exchanger inlet. An independent claim is included for a dung conveyor for use in the method.
