Categorization and analysis of roller bearing damage involves performing statistic evaluation of analysis function of received signal, in which analysis function corresponds to jolt of impact sound oscillation of rolling bearing
The method involves receiving a signal (70) representing impact sound oscillation of a roller bearing, analyzing the received signal based on a given signal characteristic, and assigning the signal to a predetermined damage category based on the analysis result. The analysis covers statistic evaluation of the analysis function of the signal. The analysis function is determined from the received signal based on given signal characteristics, and represents the differential derivative level or high differential derivative of the signal corresponding to the jolt of the impact sound oscillation. An independent claim is included for the measuring and analyzer device for categorizing and analyzing rolling bearing damage.
