The arrangement has an optical pressure sensor (1) consisting of a flexible sensor foil made of cured cholesteric elastomer exhibiting a deformation-dependent adjustment of selective reflection bands. The sensor is provided in an environment and a hermetically sealed housing (4) is provided outside the environment. A microcontroller has a firmware with functions of calibration, correction of hysteresis and drift ratio, and energy management, so that measuring result is transferred over interface component and wire-bound or wireless bus system to a signaling or data processing unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for an optical pressure measurement in explosive environment.
