The method involves automatically switching function keys of a mouse into a multimedia function mode to implement rendition and setting function of multimedia programs, and selecting a multimedia data set. Switching programs are completed, if a new multimedia data set is selected. The mouse is relocated to the mode for windows operating system, if the new set is not selected, where the multimedia programs are completed.
