The method involves supplying a band material continuously from a coil as an untrimmed shaped material by a supplying device to individual work levels of a roller forming equipment by a supplying device. The band material is transformed by compression rollers of the equipment. The band material is contoured at the end of a forming process by a molding tool (4), which includes upper and lower molds. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a metal bar.
