Operating method for microscope, which enables adjustment of different operational parameters. Microscope assumes one of more different preset operational modes by actuating first release appliance. Each operational mode is determined by one or more operational parameters. Preferably, adjustment values of operational parameters for preset operational mode are stored in memory. Typically, there is at least one further release appliance. Independent claims are included for use of invented method and operating module of microscope.
