The first transmission component has a power transmission surface (14) with convex curvature and rotational symmetry about the axis (x), around which it turns. The second transmission component has a power transmission surface (18) with concave curvature and rotational symmetry about a second axis (x1) around which it turns. A rigid transmission ring (20) transmits torque between the surfaces (14, 18), against which it is pressed. The ring has a given range of adjustment relative to the surfaces. Over the range of transmission ring (20) adjustment, lines intersecting the transmission surfaces transversely, lie parallel to a plane extending through the axes.
