The pressure sensor has a hollow deformation body (11), a flux conducting component (20), and a detection unit for detecting a pressure-induced permeability variation. The deformation body is coated with a magnetoelastic material and a magnetoelastic sensor unit is arranged inside the deformation body. The detection unit is a coil (30) or a Hall sensor and a magnetic field generating unit. The pressure sensor is implemented as two parts, where one part is arranged in an electronic unit and another part is arranged in a hydraulic unit of a control unit of a braking system.
