The device has a hollow space formed between an outer wall of a manifold (3) and an inner wall of a hollow section (12) to collect heat radiated from the manifold. Radiated heat is conducted via a conduit pipe and a guide plate to an upper surface of tires of front and back wheels of a motor vehicle, respectively to melt snow slush found on the road. Heat flow to the tires is terminated if the tire temperature exceeds a preset value.
