An all glass construction staircase has triple bonded layer glass steps (7) supported on the shaped upper edges of inner layers (2) of triple layer sandwich construction side supports. The sandwich construction includes transparent polymer film tot bond the glass layers. The upper edges of the step supports and the lower edges of the steps are fitted with interlocking profile grips secured to the glass by polymer binding layers. The grips can be glass of any suitable material.
