The roots of a tree growing beside a street or on a square in a town are not naturally watered or aerated appropriately and need a specific aid for the purpose. The pipe (2) is provided with a multitude of slots (7) or holes and is closed at the top with a cap (3) assembled of an upper (4) and a lower part. The parts are provided with complementary threaded segments facilitating an adjustment of the height. A collar located at the lower part and a conical ring (23) at the outer surface of the pipe (2) prevent an axial sliding.
