A louvre type window with double glazing has an outer plastic frame (13) secured to an inner frame (12) with the two frame sections fitted together using ratchet grips and apertures. Alternately the two sections can be joined by rivets or adhesive. The outer plastic section reduces thermal transmission without special inserts between the glazing.
