The device has a rotary disk (14) rotatably supported on a bearing assembly about a vertical axis. A camera arm (20) is tiltably supported about a horizontal axis of the bearing assembly. A camera (32) is detachably attached to the camera arm by a retaining arm. A control device (16) is provided for an electric motor of the rotary disk, and a personal computer is connected with the control device and the camera. Photo sensors (36, 38) are provided at a table for determining whether the camera approaches a table top of the table.
