The device has a calculating module (42) to calculate voltages and/or currents between terminals of resistors of an electric model of a battery based on intensity and voltage measured by sensors. The electric model has a resistor, and two parallel resistor-capacitor circuits connected in series. A loss evaluating module (84) evaluates losses by joule effect based on values of the model`s resistors and calculated voltages or currents. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a battery charging state estimating system including a battery losses estimating device (B) a battery charging state estimating method including a battery losses estimating method (C) an information recording medium including instructions for executing a battery losses estimating method.
