The spectrometer has a matrix detector, and a Michelson type interferometer with elementary interferometers (m1, m2) stacked on one another. A set of elementary mirrors of the interferometers (m1, m2) forms an inclined mirror (M1) which is perpendicular to counter-steps of a staircase profiled mirror (M2) whose steps are formed by another set of elementary mirrors of the interferometers (m1, m2). The mirror (M1) can be plane or with a staircase profile identical to that of the mirror (M2) and with counter-steps coplanar to the counter-steps of the mirror (M2).
