The method involves generating electrostatic charges by three successive and automatic phases of contact, rubbing and separation of seat and dress textile samples (E1, E2), for a given contact pressure and with same speed and separation distance. Electric potential of a conducting support of the sample (E2) is measured during several phases, in a reproducible manner in same temperature, hygrometry and atmospheric pressure conditions. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementation of a triboelectric characterization method.
