The method involves circulating a band (8) on which tap dots are connected. One tape dot is detached from the band in order to receive the tape dot on a roller (14). The arrival of the tape dot on the roller is detected by a sensor (18) and circulation of the band is stopped. The tape dot is removed from the roller and is placed on a hanging file folder (1). The band is circulated again to remove another tape dot from the band. An independent claim is also included for equipment for implementation of a tape dot installation method.
