The method involves locating a carpooler in a ray path of about 100 meters around a transceiver terminal in response to calls transmitted by a call service across different transceiver terminals to telephone numbers of the carpooler. Information relative to the carpooler such as identity and mobile telephone number, starting point, starting time, arrival point and intermediate stop points are integrated in a database.
