The method involves acquiring an image of the face of a consumer, and analyzing the image in order to measure characteristics of the morphology of the face of the consumer. A spectacle frame adapted to the morphology of the consumer is selected by interrogation of a spectacle frame characteristic indexing database including four dimensional characteristics of each spectacle frame. An image of spectacle frame adapted to the consumer is incorporated to an image of the consumer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an interactive terminal (2) a device for analyzing spectacle frames permitting to inform a database on the dimensional characteristics of the frames (3) an assembly including spectacle frames and a computing unit in which data concerning the spectacle frames are stored.
