PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a storage area of an external storage device to a state that a host can manage the area, to prevent an access to the storage device from other hosts, and to protect data in response to creation of the storage area of the external storage device by the host.;SOLUTION: A second storage device 600 creates a storage area 630 in the second storage device, an iSNS server 300 registers a lower order DD between a first storage device 500 and the second storage device 600, and the first storage device 500 performs mapping set registration of a name of a use storage area and a name of the external storage device.
