PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation signal processing method and the like by which image data can be transmitted without requiring a long time even in an inexpensive wireless communication system having a simple processing capacity. PSOLUTION: A PC 1 applies independent component analysis to image data X which is recorded in an image database DB 4 and acquires a feature matrix S, a mixing matrix A and a unimixing matrix W. It transmits the acquired unimixing matrix W to a PC 5. The PC 5 obtains actual image data X which is actually shot by a camera 7. It acquires an actual feature matrix S corresponding to the actual image data X based on the unimixing matrix W transmitted from the PC 1 and the obtained actual image data X. It transmits the acquired actual feature matrix S to the PC 1. The PC 1 restores the actual image data X based on the transmitted actual feature matrix S and the previously acquired mixing matrix A.
