PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-constructible universal box-culvert type side ditch mainly of a top slab lid-placed type which is used as a noise-deadening type drop-lid side ditch with high tractive performance having a drainage function throughout an extended section, a free-slope side ditch with the same function and high constructibility, and an easily-cleanable box-culvert type side ditch with the same function, and makes construction cost and maintenance cost lower. PSOLUTION: This box culvert-type side ditch with enhanced tractive performance which is constituted by placing the top slab lid with the drainage function is characterized in that: the top slab lid can be structurally placed by opening a part of a top slab; a surface can be aligned with various construction cross sections; a section along the entire line in the direction of extension is formed in such a shape as to have the function of exerting the great effect of collecting water from a road and rapidly discharging the water into the side ditch; a downflow cross section is formed in such a shape as to have high tractive performance; products with different depths are combined together in a stepped manner; and the free longitudinal slope of a canal can be formed of a small amount of concrete.
