PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a microorganism having high RNA content such as yeast by culturing a microorganism such as yeast under the optimum condition without redoing the search for a culture condition such as optimum dilution ratio even in the case of changing the culture medium, culture vessel, etc.;SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for setting a culture condition in a microorganism culture for producing RNA. The relationship between the RNA yield and respiratory quotient is determined and the culture condition is set to exhibit the optimum respiratory quotient. The optimum respiratory quotient is, for example, a value to maximize the RNA yield or a value to maximize the RNA content in the microorganism.
