PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set with a beep tone output function as countermeasures against prank calls, capable of effectively making a beep tone output function toward the prank phone caller.;SOLUTION: The telephone set 10 is provided with a countermeasure selection detection section 241; and a prank call countermeasure detection section 271 including a line connection consecutive processing section 272, a beep-tone output control section 273, and a line connection interruption processing section 274, when the countermeasure selection detection section 241 discriminates that an arrived phone call is a prank phone call and its own telephone set is hooked on, the line connection consecutive processing section 272 continues line connection, until a prescribed time elapses after the hook-on operation, the beep tone output control section 273 continues the output of the beep tone for the prescribed time, and thereafter the line connection interruption processing section 274 interrupts the line.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
