BAMBOO EXTRACT/CYCLODEXTRIN COMPOSITE, AND ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT, ANTIOXIDANT, TYROSINASE ACTIVITY INHIBITOR AND CRUSTACEAN-BLACKENING INHIBITOR EACH COMPRISING THE COMPOSITE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable and easy-to-handle composite form from a bamboo plant, and to provide an antimicrobial agent, antioxidant, tyrosinase activity inhibitor and crustacean-blackening inhibitor each comprising the composite form and enhanced in effectiveness. PSOLUTION: The composite is obtained by including and/or impregnating a bamboo plant extract component in a cyclodextrin. The bamboo plant to be used is preferably Phyllostachys pubescens (a kind of thick-stemmed bamboo), especially a surface skin part of the stem. It is preferable that the extract component be obtained by (1) treating the bamboo plant with steam at 120-180C followed by (2) cooling and then (3) subjecting the resultant bamboo plant to extraction with a 1-4C alcohol-containing extractive solvent. The antimicrobial agent, antioxidant, tyrosinase activity inhibitor and crustacean-blackening inhibitor are each produced by including the above composite. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
