PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting DNA sequence without accurately adjusting hybridization temperature by several detecting method including visual observation.;SOLUTION: The method comprises annealing, in a solution with a target DNA, gold colloidal particles fixed a single-stranded DNA and detecting target DNA sequence by existence or nonexistence of aggregates of colloidal particles after annealing. The aggregates are only generated when the monobasic at the unfixed end on the gold colloid of the single-strand DNA fixed on the surface of the gold colloidal particles and the monobasic at the end of the opposite target DNA to that DNA are complementary each other and, including the end monobasic, the single-strand DNA and the target DNA are hybridized. The method for detecting end monobasic mutation of the target DNA includes the method.
