PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for planting ground cover and a device for planting each reducing cost of a device for planting on a bare land for the ground cover, and improving germination rate through appropriately planting plant stumps or plant stem sections free from damages. PSOLUTION: The method for planting the ground cover and the device 1 for planting each comprises forming a greening base 16 on the bare land 15 for greening, continuously supplying stored ground cover 17 to a conveyance tube through an introduction pipe 6 which forms parallel to the conveyance tube 3 a front edge 6-2 of a given length to be inserted into the conveyance tube 3, and discharging the ground cover 17 from the front edge 10 of the conveyance tube to plant on the greening base 16 while controlling the flow rate of air current to be ventilated into the conveyance tube.
