PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary component replacement by utilizing knowledge to attain the efficiency of maintenance work by facilitating the analysis of a record of maintenance work including countermeasures against trouble even under the conditions to lack consistency in the recorded contents of maintenance work including the countermeasures against trouble in a replacement component estimating system.;SOLUTION: The replacement component estimating system comprises a trouble/maintenance rule extraction section 102 classifying a set of records of countermeasures against past trouble including component replacement information and other maintenance work according to similarity among individual records and extracting work rules on maintenance work about trouble with high repeatability from the classification; a significant component discriminating section 103 discriminating the necessity of replacement from the contribution degree of components on the specific rules including component replacement out of the extracted work rules; and a discriminated knowledge applying section 204 guessing the necessity of component replacement and components high in direct relativity to trouble in the past maintenance work from a set of discriminated results.
