PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of reading out a radio tag attached to a managed target and a radio tag stored with management information simultaneously by an identical reader/writer and also detecting the read omission of the radio tag. PSOLUTION: The multiread apparatus executes: a reading process for reading out information stored in first and second radio tags; a storage process for distinguishing whether information stored continuously to the identification information of information of each radio tag read out by the reading means is the information of the first radio tag or that of the second radio tag in accordance with whether the information is the identification information of the second radio tag or dummy identification information and storing the distinguished information in a storage means; a calculation process for calculating the number of controlled targets from the information of the first radio tag stored in the storage part; and a judgment means for comparing the number of controlled targets included in the information of the second radio tag which is stored in the storage part with the number of controlled targets calculated by the calculation means to judge whether both the numbers of managed targets coincide with each other.
