PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method efficiently collecting (producing) gas making a methane from a methane hydrate sedimentary layer under the sea bed as a main ingredient. PSOLUTION: A pair or a plurality of horizontal winzes are excavated inside of the methane hydrate sedimentary layer, hot water or vapor is circulated in a pair of two horizontal winzes to decompose hydrate between both winzes to form a hot water chamber area having fluidity, the hot water is driven therein to decompose the methane hydrate to generate methane, the methane is supplied to a marine or a ground facility, press-in pressure is given to the hot water by a pump, and the hot water is reheated and is again driven into the methane hydrate sedimentary layer or the hot water chamber area.
