PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation prior to performing analysis on an analytical model created and to obtain appropriate analysis data.;SOLUTION: A method for the structural analysis of a transmission belt using finite-element analysis includes a step S1 for creating an analytical model in which a truss element is positioned at the center of a core for a layer obtained by cutting out the transmission belt on a plane perpendicular to its longitudinal direction, a step S2 for performing finite-element analysis on the analytical model, and a step S3 for outputting the result of the structural analysis of the analytical model. The step S2 for performing the finite-element analysis includes a step S2a for bending the analytical model down to the curvature of a pulley while making the cut surface of the analytical model maintain the plane, and a step S2b for pressing the analytical model against the pulley to produce tension in the truss element while making the cut surface of the model maintain the plane.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
