This present invention relates to the development of sequential batch reactor technology with biofilm configuration for the treatment of complex chemical and pharmaceutical effluents. The main usage of the present invention is the development of new technology (sequential batch reactor) with biofilm configuration for the treatment of complex chemical and pharmaceutical effluents. The technology is considered to be effective, economical and flexible to operate as compared to the traditional continuos flow treatment process. The present invention can be used for the treatment of any industrial effluents either chemical or non-chemical origin.
