A CELLULAR AUTOMATA BASED AUTHENTICATION DEVICE FOR MESSAGE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

A cellular automate (CA) based authentication device for message communication system. The communication system comprises - a programmable cellular automata PCA (1) rule vector of which can be modified dynamically; a rule register (2) for holding individual message words and for forming rules for driving the PCA; a two predecessors single attractor TPSA register (3) for holding the rule for the PCA; a complement vector register (4) for holding the complement vector for running the PCA; start and final address register (5,6) for providing authentication signature as PCA content; and a controller (7) for generating timing and control signals for authentication.
