The method involves storing an information file in a memory, and determining header information representative of a stock component and audio and/or video data represent information component, where the memory loads a compression program. The stock and information components are separated, and information of the stock component is stored in the memory and/or a storage medium. Size of the information of the information component is adjusted, and the stored information of the stock component is added with the information of information component. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for adjusting size of an information file (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for adjusting size of an information.
