The proposed method for investigating tectonic deformations in a geological environment consists in performing seismic explorations in the three-dimensional environment, determining the forward and reverse branches of the time-distance graphs of the reflected seismic vibrations, processing the data of the seismic explorations for the near and remote areas that are presented by the forward and reverse branches of the time-distance graphs, comparing the data so obtained, and determining tectonic deformations according to specified criteria using the seismic sections, and determining the location and dimensions of areas with the tectonic deformations.
