Optical waveguide for light, has two electromagnetic wave layers facing each other, extending in light dispersion direction whereby refractive indices of both waveguide layers and refractive index of gap satisfy certain condition
Optical waveguide has two electromagnetic wave layers (2,4) facing each other, extending in light dispersion direction and limited between a gap medium (3). The thickness of waveguide layers in relation to optical wavelength is 0.052 to 0.155 micron, on an average 0.065 to 0.123 micron. The refractive indices of both waveguide layers and the refractive index of the gap satisfy certain condition. The thickness (S) of gap normalized for optical wavelength is 0.007 to 0.226 micron. The width of waveguide layer of both waveguide layers normalized for optical wavelength is 0.226 to 0.97 micron.
