The finishing component, e.g. for connecting raised and sloping sections of a roof (1), consists of two or more parallel metal strips (3, 4, 4') joined by stitches (5) of a composition material passed through holes at least 30 mm apart. At least one of the strips is malleable, e.g. of lead, and can be shaped to follow the surface of the roof, while a closer has aeration holes (6), preferably with raised edges.
