A path seeking apparatus (100) comprises an input part (101), an acquiring part (102) and a path seeking part (103). The input part (101) accepts an input of a destination of a mobile unit. The acquiring part (102) acquires, from a recording medium in which information related to the running states of the mobile unit is recorded, particular locations or routes where accidents are apt to occur. The path seeking part (103) seeks a path leading to the destination of the mobile unit accepted by the input part (101), while avoiding the particular locations or routes acquired by the acquiring part (102).
