Collision protection protocol using backoff algorithm in consideration of the communication priority

PURPOSE: A back-off algorithm and a collision protecting protocol using the same are provided to simplify the design of a telecommunication system by adopting the back-off algorithm considering the priority order. CONSTITUTION: A back-off counting value is increased(502) whenever a back-off mode is entered(501). The back-off counting value is compared with a retransmitting limit value which is initially preset(503). If the retransmitting limit value is larger than the back-off counting value, the priority order of a massage to be transmitted is read out(505). Then, a real number is created by a random function using the priority order of the massage(506). A real delaying time is calculated by multiplying a slot time to the real number. Then, the massage transmission is delayed by the real delaying time.
