A large number of longitudinal and lateral furring strips of C-channel material are assembled in a lattice- form by locking locking tongue pieces provided on the raised pieces of the longitudinal furring strips at the intersecting positions to the upper through holes, out of upper and lower ones, of the lateral furring strips thus forming an exterior furring. The longitudinal furring strips are secured in full contact to the surface of an outer thermal insulation layer so that the exterior furring is installed thereon, and then an exterior material is hooked thereto thus constituting an outer wall by a simple work. A ventilation space of about 5 mm is formed by the thickness of the longitudinal furring strips on the outer side of the outer thermal insulation layer. Since the ventilation space is generally about 2 cm, the outer thermal insulation layer can be made thicker by the reduced space size, thus enhancing thermal insulation of a building. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
