A PESTICIDAL COMPOSITION FOR CORYTHUCHA CILIATA OR HYPHANTRIA CUNEA AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PESTS USING THE SAME

A pesticidal composition is provided to show excellent controlling effect on Corythucha ciliata or Hyphantria cunea causing severe damage on Platanus orientalis and reduce destruction of ecosystem caused by unnecessarily consumed medicals and damage on pedestrians and vehicles. The pesticidal composition for controlling Corythucha ciliata or Hyphantria cunea comprises 15-25 wt.% of acetamiprid, 0.5-3.5 wt.% of magnesium, 5-15 wt.% of glycerin fatty acid ester, 0.03-0.15 wt.% of sodium-5-mononitro-guaiacol, and an inactive carrier or a diluent. The method for controlling the Corythucha ciliata or Hyphantria cunea comprises the steps of: (a) after disinfecting a circumferential portion of a perforated point of a tree, perforating the tree to an alburnum portion; (b) after injecting glucose into the perforation to prevent the inside of the perforation from forming vacuum, injecting an effective amount of the pesticidal composition thereinto; and (c) treating the inside and peripheral portion of the perforation with vaseline and then taping those portions.
